Glamour, fashion (and fun!) in the 50s and 60s
I have to admit this post is a pure indulgence, a collection of images from various little known European forums, and nostalgic communities that preserve that certain innocent quality and loveliness, often lost in modern commercial photography. These models actually seem to enjoy themselves, be genuinely happy and alluring at the same time. The fashions were something else again.
Sources: vintage magazine scans, advertisements and calendars; many images have been preserved by such sites as Vintage Girl Watchers, Italian Digilander site,
wonderful blogs like The Wistful Republic and “Vintage Photo” community

These pictures somehow convey the innocent quality and loveliness, often lost in modern commercial photography. The models actually seem to enjoy themselves, they look genuinely happy and alluring at the same time. Their fashions are quite something to behold, as well.
