الديدان البحرية (Marine worms)
تنتمي الديدان البحرية الي عدة شعب تتباين فيما بينها وتختلف فيسود بعضها في الشواطيء الرملية والاخري في الطينية و كذلك في الشواطيء الصخرية ، وتشارك الديدان البحرية مثلها مثل الكائنات الاخري في بناء الفونة البحرية خاصة في المناطق الضحلة وتسهم بعضها في تكوين الهائمات الحيوانية التي تسبح فوق سطح وفي عمود الماء وتوصف هائمات تلك الكائنات بالهائمات الدائمة وسوف نعرض باذن الله تعالي الشائع منها والاكثر انتشارا ووفرة
اولا الديدان الحلقية (Annelids)
تنتشر الديدان الحلقية في كل من البيئة المالحة والبيئة العذبة علي السواء بل ان الكثير منها ينتشر في اليابسة ومنها ما هو متطفل ايضا ويبلغ تعداد الديدان الحلقية الي حوالي 14.000 اربعة عشر الف نوع وتعتبر طائفة عديدة الاشواك (Polychaeta) هي الطائفة الوحيدة التي تعيش في بيئات المياه المالحة وتضم تلك الطائفة حوالي 8000 ثمانية الاف نوع وتشمل انواعا عالمية الانتشار.

Marauding Dragons on a Desolate Island
The world's largest lizard (up to 3 meters long) only needs one bite to infect its prey, and then it will stalk it - patiently, cold-bloodedly - until it keels over; and yes, if no living prey is available, it will gladly dig up human graves...
The Komodo dragon is the closest thing to a dinosaur that we have today on Earth, and to the "epic fantasy" wicked dragons. Its teeth are covered in bleeding tissue, its mouth copiously bleeds every time it feeds, drooling venomous saliva and flicking its long yellow forked tongue. Certainly, these ancient critters are dangerous, awesome and unique (get ready for the "Predator vs. Komodo Dragons" movie).

Uniquely Shaped Trees
These fantastically bent tree trunk are grown at Nob Hill Foods, Gilroy, California - a veritable "Tree Circus". Axel Erlandson is the arbo-sculptor - truly an occupation for a patient man. Tree "sculptures" require constant pruning, bending and grafting, keeping to the plan for many years. See more incredible examples on this page.

What lurked in the depths, now is going to haunt your boat.
Be careful what you hook up. Aside from picking some vicious industrial garbage, you can bring to the surface some strange and unmentionable things. Most fishermen will happily brag about an extraordinary big fish (and we'll show plenty of those in this article). But sometimes the catch is so bizarre, that they'd rather try to forget it over a drink or two.
"Larger than life" (but hopefully still real) catches
We all know that the size of our largest catch is only limited to how wide we can stretch our arms, and how gullible your friends are. A picture would usually prove your story, if you don't mind occasional "this is Photoshop... I can tell by the pixels" comments:

التغير المناخي يحرم البحار من ذهبها الاحمر
دراسة تؤكد ان الشعاب المرجانية في طريقها للموت النهائي بسبب تأثير البحار الحمضية.
منذ قديم الزمان، احتار العلماء واختلفوا في اعتبار المرجان جمادا ينام في اعماق البحار ام نباتا ينمو بعيدا عن اشعة الشمس ام حيوانا، لكنهم اتفقوا على ان الوانه الزاهية تخطف ابصار الناس.
وقد دعاهم الامر ومنذ قرون الى استخدامه في الطب والتعاويذ اولا ثم للتزين واستخدامه كنوع من المال في المقايضة كسلعة ثمينة.
اما اليوم، فيستخدم في انتاج اجمل انواع الحلي وقد ابدع الحرفيون القدماء في صنع المنحوتات الاسطورية والتحف الفنية في روما القديمة، فازدهرت تجارة جنوا الايطالية الى القسطنطينية ومرافئ البحر المتوسط واخذه التجار العرب الى الصين والهند وهناك كانت اشكال مرجانية صغيرة تثبت على سطوح خشبية او معدنية موشاة بالذهب.
وهكذا استخدم المرجان لزخرفة اشياء متنوعة كعلب المجوهرات والصواني والمرايا وزينة الكنائس وخيطت حبات المرجان الصغيرة على الاقمشة الثمينة والستائر الفاخرة، ومع تطور الصناعة بدأ صنع مجاميع رائعة من اطقم المجوهرات والزينة.

مثلث برمودا هو لغز من ألغاز الطبيعة احتار الناس في حله منذ مئات السنين،ولا يزال حتى الآن رغم الأفتراضات الكثيرة،وهو أحد غرائب الطبيعة الذي تتحدث عنه الصحف والمجلات و التلفزيون من وقت الى آخر وتحيطه بهالة من الدهشة والغموض، هذا المثلث هو ذلك الجزء الغامض من المحيط الأطلسي الذي يبتلع بداخله آلاف السفن و الطائرات دون أن تترك أي أثر، ولم يستطع أحد حتى الآن أن، يفسر بشكل مؤكد سر هذا الإختفاء الغريب.
الحديث عن ( مثلث برمودا ) مثل الحديث عن الحكايات الخرافية والأساطير الإغريقية والقصص الخالية ، ولكن يبقى الفارق هنا هو أن مثلث برمودا حقيقة واقعية لمسناها في عصرنا هذا وقرأنا عنها في الصحف والمجلات العربية والعالمية ، ويذهب بنا القول بأن مثلث برمودا يعتبر التحدي الأعظم الذي يواجه إنسان هذا القرن والقرون القادمة

ما هي أسباب الاحتباس الحراري؟
الاحتباس الحراري أو ما يسميه البعض تغير المناخ أو كارثة المناخ يمكن تعريفه ببساطة بأنه ارتفاع درجات الحرارة في الأرض والتي يظن البعض أنها تتسبب في كوارث بيئية وبالتالي كوارث إنسانية، تغير المناخ وارتفاع درجة الحرارة ليس موضوعاً قابلاً للجدال لأنه بالفعل يحدث، درجات الحرارة تقاس كل يوم وتقارن بما سجل في السنوات الماضية وبالتالي هي حقائق تسجل وليست تخمينات قابلة للنقاش.
المشكلة ليست في ارتفاع درجات الحرارة، بل في سبب هذا الارتفاع، وسائل الإعلام والمهتمون بالبيئة يقولون بأن التلوث الذي يتركه الإنسان من استهلاك مختلف المواد هو السبب الرئيسي في ارتفاع درجات الحرارة، وهذا ما كنت شخصياً مقتنعاً به حتى وقت قريب، لأنني مثل بقية الناس كنت أردد ما يقولونه، كنت أظن أن جمعاً من العلماء ومناصري البيئة لا يمكن أن يكونوا مخطئين، لكنني تراجعت عن ذلك، وسأوضح لماذا.
لكن قبل التوضيح أشدد على أنني أشجع على فعل أي شيء لحماية البيئة، سواء كانت هناك مشكلة احتباس حراري أو لم تكن، لا بد من أن نقلل استهلاكنا ونحافظ على الموارد المت...

Living in modern cities with high-rise buildings, we tend to miss out on what Mother Nature has to offer as well as some of the most incredible man-made structures built throughout the course of history.
Look at the places below, and you will see beauty that fills the eye and warms the heart. It wouldn’t be appropriate or humanly possible to just pick a few places from the huge collection of amazing sights around the world and call them the “best.”

Imagine waking up on the Socotra Island and taking a good look around you (let's say your buddies pulled a prank on you and delivered you there, and lets also assume that you don't have any hangover from abuse of any substances). After a yelp of disbelief, you'd be inclined to think you were transported to another planet - or traveled to another era of Earth's history.
The second would be closer to the truth for this island, which is part of a group of 4 islands, has been geographically isolated from mainland Africa for the last 6 or 7 million years. Like the Galapagos Islands, this island is teeming with 700 extremely rare species of flora and fauna, a full 1/3 of which are endemic, i.e. found nowhere else on Earth.

Rafflesia arnoldii: This parasitic plant develops the world's largest bloom that can grow over three feet across. The flower is a fleshy color, with spots that make it look like a teenager's acne-ridden skin. It smells bad and has a hole in the center that holds six or seven quarts of water. The plant has no leaves, stems or roots.
Hydnora africana, an unusual flesh-colored, parasitic flower that attacks the nearby roots of shrubby in arid deserts of South Africa. The putrid-smelling blossom attracts herds of carrion beetles.
Dracunculus vulgaris: smells like rotting flesh, and has a burgundy-colored, leaf-like flower that projects a slender, black appendage.
Amorphophallus: means, literally, "shapeless penis." The name comes from the shape of the erect black spadix....
